It's been a fairly frustrating last 6 weeks after having surgery to repair a non healing broken foot (that was broken 2 + years ago trying to jump over a sleeping dog on the stairs....but that's another story). Midway through football season it was obvious that this wasn't going to heal and the Dr. WAS in fact right.....it needed to be fixed! So, with 2 more weeks to go I am getting pretty antsy and have resumed picture taking! Ok, so the Dr. doesn't need to read this blog!
What a treat to get an unexpected email this morning from K about the 2011 football season. I have asked if I can post some of her comments! It made my day!
"I wanted to thank you for the beautiful football album that the Booster Club presented to D. The BEST gift! It means so much....and will be a source of great memories for many years...I also knew I could look down at the sidelines and see you right in the middle of the action with camera in tow! Your involvement in the football scene has afforded many to capture the boys' sports moments that we could not do on our own! J's album that I put together as his senior gift still sits in the family room. Over the holidays, when his old football group gathers, someone will pick it up to take a look, because they're all in it! ...

Thank you, K for such kind words! I appreciate them very much! It has been a privilege to be on the sidelines for about 12 years now! I wondered how hard it would be after our youngest graduated to be one the sidelines, but it's actually more fun now because I'm not trying to watch him AND take action shots!
